Item: Georgian Sterling Tankard
Maker: Story and Elliot, London, 1813
Description: The large, heavy tankard (57.5 troy ounces) is embellished with cast and applied figures of cherubs / putti celebrating. There are grapes, goats, and a liquor barrel where the spout is three dimensional. The overall surface is matt / stippled. The inside of the tankard is gilt. It measures 8 inches to the top of the thumbpiece, and has a bottom diameter of 6 1/8 inches.
Condition: Very good condition. The marks are on the side of the body and are crisp. There are no inscriptions or monograms.
